Do you (or someone you know) live with urinary incontinence (involuntary leakage of urine)? Most women are too embarrassed to talk about it, don’t know that help exists, or think that it’s a natural part of pregnancy, menopause or aging.
Dr. Arnold Kegel first described the importance of pelvic floor exercise in the 1940’s. Since then we have learned that the pelvic floor naturally responds to movement and that certain movements create stronger pelvic floor contractions than Kegel exercises.
Research suggests that exercise specific to building the muscles of the pelvic floor can lead to greater control of your urinary systems. Using your own body weight or light hand weights, we work together to strengthen your core, build stronger urinary walls and tighten the Kegel areas. With repeated sessions we work to build your muscle strength, control and gain confidence. Since we exercise these targeted areas in the safety of your own home, there is no fear of embarrassment or shame.
As a post menopausal mother of two, I know from personal experience how frustrating and embarrassing not being in control of your bladder can be. I offer in-house personal training and coaching in the privacy of your own home or online, eliminating your fears of embarrassment or shame. I can strategize how best to help you with a holistic approach ... psychologic, physical, lifestyle, nutrition and exercise.
Educational talks and group workshops are also available.
